Read the daily quote from Pope Francis

Welcome to our Church

You enter this church...not as a stranger, but as a guest of God.  God is your heavenly Father.  Come, then, with joy in your heart and thanks on your lips into God's presence, offering God your love and service.  Be grateful to the strong and the loyal ones who, in the name of Jesus Christ, built this place in worship, and to all who have beautified it and allowed it with their prayers and praise.  Ask God's blessings on those who love this house of faith as the inspiration of their labor, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit and may that blessing rest on you, both on your going out and your coming in.

The Sacred Art of Grieving

Sunday, September 13 at 2:00pm, Immaculate Heart of Mary Social Center

Join the members of the Bereavement Ministry in a presentation by Lisa Irish, author of “Grieving with a Grateful Heart” and “Grieving – the Sacred Art”, as she provides the language and the tools for a grieving heart to those who are grieving and those who care for them. Questions should be directed to Sanita Gingras at 860-482-3951.

“The death of a loved one changes us, sends us through a painful, often lonely set of experiences.  Despite the pain, grief is our ally as we recover from loss.  Grief leads us through an emotional journey that can heal the emptiness and affirm the love we shared.”

- Lisa Irish
